The Substation: Accepted quarterly
Mardi Gras Season: Accepted once annually around July/August
Pride Fest: Applications open late January and close late March
Sydney Fringe Festival Queer Hub: Applications run through Sydney Fringe Festival. Please check their website for opening dates.
Pride Fest EOIs are Now Open
Running from 1-30 June, Pride Fest offers a month of dazzling works and moving stories that celebrate the astounding talent of the LGBTQIA+ and Ally community.
We are looking for great stories, events and workshops to feature throughout this month – which is where YOU come in. Have a show waiting for the limelight? A story busting to be told? An event you’ve been waiting to host? Or a workshop that you’d love to share with the community?
We want to hear from you! Shows best suited to Pride Fest are:
- Approx. 60 mins in run time (negotiable)
- Showcase the talents of LGBTQIA+ creatives or amplify stories of the community
- Loud, bold, entertaining, dazzling…all the good things
- From all genres – cabaret, drag, comedy, drama, poetry, dance, circus, magic, burlesque, literary events, workshops, panel discussions, podcast recordings and more!
Please share with all the creative and workshop loving folks in your life and please submit your amazing works – we can’t wait to have you on a Qtopia Sydney stage.
Auditions
Auditions are held by each creative team. For information on available auditions, please contact the relevant production companies to learn of opportunities.
Crew and Creatives
Whilst it is the responsibility of the incoming production team to hire their Crew and Creatives, Qtopia Sydney has a collated database of individuals working in the industry and their contact details, to provide to teams on request.
