HIV Today

HIV Today provides a historical and contemporary context for the ongoing understanding of HIV/AIDS locally, regionally and globally. It introduces the histories of important medical, advocacy and HIV/AIDS support organisations and celebrates their work in the face of the ongoing epidemic.

While treatment is now so effective that people can live healthy lives in some parts of the world, there have emerged in recent years new populations at risk of infection.

In some places where infection rates have been declining for many years, increases have been recently recorded even as the international community works towards eliminating transmission of HIV by 2030.
