The Wall of Love
at Qtopia Sydney
The Wall of Love at Qtopia Sydney offers the community a permanent place to celebrate community heroes, honour loved ones, memorialise those we have lost and mark special occasions.
Located in the heart of the world’s largest Centre for Queer History and Culture, the Wall of Love will be unveiled in 2025 in what was the exercise yard of the former Darlinghurst Police Station. Once a place of embarrassment, hardship and mistreatment, this space is being transformed into an area of reflection, of gratitude and of honour.
The purpose of Qtopia Sydney is to tell the community’s stories. Now we invite you to tell the story of someone you know, love or admire, and ensure that their name and contribution are never forgotten.

Your tribute plaque will join others to create a striking visual representation of our community's strength, resilience, and love.

Each beautifully and individually crafted plaque can include:
- A name (up to 20 characters including spaces and punctuation)
- Two tribute lines (45 characters each)

What will I receive?
Qtopia Sydney warmly invites community members to place a plaque on the Wall of Love.
In acknowledgment of your $1,000 tax-deductible donation, you will receive:
- A stainless steel plaque with your inscription placed on the Wall of Love
- An exclusive invitation to the Wall’s unveiling ceremony
- For a limited time: all donors participating in the first unveiling will receive one complimentary year membership to Qtopia Sydney, providing you unlimited entry to the exhibitions to see your plaque often (Value $90 RRP).
How can my company can participate?
Qtopia Sydney warmly invites companies that would like to celebrate their commitment to Pride and Inclusion to place a plaque on the Wall of Love. The cost is $5,000 and can include your company logo.

- Sponsor a community plaque
Companies will receive:
- A stainless steel plaque with your inscription placed on the Wall of Love
- An exclusive invitation to the Wall’s unveiling ceremony
- For a limited time: all companies participating in the first unveiling will receive $1500 credit towards a Corporate Program of your choosing at Qtopia Sydney.
FAQs
What happens after I place my form and pay for my plaque?
Thank you for securing your permanent place on the Wall of Love at Qtopia Sydney. Once you have completed your form, you will receive a receipt as an acknowledgement of purchase.
Your inscription is then sent to the engravers. Once we have received your plaque, you will receive a photograph of it via email.
You will be invited to an exclusive unveiling ceremony in 2025 to see your plaque on the Wall of Love. The date of this will be advised in the first half of 2025.
Can I order more than one plaque?
Absolutely! There is no limit on the number of plaques that you may secure to honour your loved ones and members of the community!
Can I list a living person on the Wall of Love?
Definitely – in fact we encourage you to! This is a wall of community celebration, gratitude, honour and respect and all members of the community, and allies, are eligible for the love, living and deceased.
Can I honour more than one name on a plaque?
You may – provided multiple names fit within the number of characters permitted on each plaque, you can honour multiple names with pleasure!
Can my inscription be changed after its gone into production?
Unfortunately, not. Once the plaque is in production, no edits are available. As such, please ensure that you have really checked all spelling before submitting the form.
How are the plaques arranged on the wall?
The plaques are arranged at random – there is no hierarchy on the wall. As more and more plaques are added, the wall will grow and as such, there is no specific formation or order in which the plaques are placed.
